This Saturday October 3rd Buffalo Bayou will have a special Grand Opening Day (check out the map and schedule here) of the entire Buffalo Bayou Park. I’ve been teaching my bootcamp along the banks of the bayou for 4 years now and it’s really amazing how much work they’ve done to the area and I’m so excited to see it officially unveiled! The whole loop of trails is about 5 miles long – with tons of cool workout spots, a dog park, a new restaurant and many other fun things to do along the way! We love teaching our bootcamp along the bayou at Sabine Street because we have a great view of the bayou and downtown but also we have stairs, a hill and other cool spots to workout!
*Join me tomorrow for a FREE bootcamp workout at 9am (map and details here) then stay after for the celebrations!
Wonder what it’s like to workout along Buffalo Bayou? Check out this video:
Soon you will be able to rent kayaks and other equipment at the new visitor center along Sabine Street (and Lost Lake) or you can rent one of the City’s “B-Cycle”s that are along the bayou (also at Sabine Street). For dog owners – you can check out the newly renovated dog park (it’s huge with 2 dog areas) along Allen Parkway at Montrose!
