It’s summer and we all want to look cute while we workout and that means having a toned, tanned body (right?!) and sporting workout clothes that don’t look sweaty and gross. Look for products that are not cotton, like the ones below, to keep you the coolest and driest! Here are some of my current favorites…
I Love Lucy!!
I just got a new pair of “Balance Knee Pants” (pink and black) from Lucy Activewear that I love! The Lucy crop pants have always been my favorite and and I love the new styling with the stripes on the side….very flattering! I wore these in a few short videos that I recently filmed (check back soon) and they look and feel amazing.
I also like their cute matching “Propel Tank” that keeps you cool and has a great fit.
I’ve been wearing the blue version of this headband for months and get so many compliments. Plus, it really stays in place and won’t give you a headache from cutting off circulation like some other brands do!
*Plus, check out their current promotion where you can get discounts on gear or even a free outfit if you compete in a race this summer!
Lululemon Plaid Shorts
These are so cute and I’ve been wearing them to the gym to do my jumprope circuits. They aren’t too short or too long. Also, perfect for that summer vacation!
Nike Jacket
Even though summers in Houston are like living in a giant steam room, you still may want a lightweight jacket from time to time. I wear mine to/from classes and also put it on before I go into Whole Foods where it’s freezing. I love this Nike one (I have the coral/pink color) because the fabric is mesh, so it’s still lightweight. I also like the length, which is a little longer, and also the optional hoodie. I got mine at Lukes Locker in Houston, but you can also find it on Nike.com.
Self-Tanners
Ok, so now that you’ve got your cute capris and shorts, you need to get those legs tan! Many of you have been asking about my color and I have to be honest…some is from “real” sun outside, but most is a result from good self-tanners! I have to give my client/friend Kristen props for recommending the Glow Fusion Bronzer. I get the medium shade at Sephora and I love it. It’s clear and dries really fast with a great natural color. Then, when I’m going out a night I top it off with Victorias Secret Instant Self Tan Lotion with Tint. It has a little shimmer but not too much.
